Are you tired of fighting
the traffic and arriving to work stressed and frustrated?
Do you want to save money on gas and maintenance
expenses?

As we carry on through the winter season, we must remember all
of the challenges snow, ice, and cold temperatures bring to driving. To help
motorists prepare for winter driving, PennDOT recently announced the release
of a new winter driving guide that includes a list of what should be included
in a simple emergency travel kit.
The items that are recommended for the kit are very basic, and it is important
that motorists tailor their kits to any specific needs they or their families
may have. Some of the basic items for every vehicle include first aid supplies,
non-perishable food, water, warm clothes, a blanket and a small snow shovel.
The entire PennDOT Winter Driving Guide can be found by clicking here.
Additionally, by selecting the “Regional Traffic Cameras” option
above, you can view the real-time weather conditions before hitting the roads.
Remember to give yourself plenty of extra time when you must drive in wintery conditions. And, as always, sign-up for our weekly email so you'll be up-to-date when it comes to construction and roadway improvement projects in the region.
